Bill's
Testimony
I
came to know the Lord in September 1966 at Boy's Brigade Officers
devotional service at the age of 30. In so doing became a member
of Newbridge Baptist, and in 1967, I was baptised.
I
became captain of the BB Company in 1966, serving that office for
20 years. I originally joined the company in 1951, aged 15. All
ranks up to captain. On taking on the captaincy, I found my faith
growing deeper in the Lord, especially when looking more into
Scripture, on leading Bible Class or Epilogues at Drill parade or
a story at Junior Section.
I
am in my 35th year as a Deacon at Newbridge Baptist, serving also
as Chief Steward and Fabric Committee, 33 years in both posts. |

Preaching Emphasis
I
started preaching in my home church in 1966, taking the services
when the minsiter was away. In 1980, became a member of the BDBPA
(put forward by the Rev. John Watterson, now retired) enabling me
to preach to the wider family.
Serving
the Lord is a tremendous blessing, knowing you do it for Him,
upheld by His strength and power of the Holy Spirit..
