A HEBA Church Life Group Initiative


BMS International Mission Centre, 24 Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6QX

Learning at the Centre brings together different strands of learning within HEBA and is facilitated through a partnership between HEBA, BMS World Mission, Bristol Baptist College, Northern Baptist Learning Community, Manchester and Regent’s Park College, Oxford. 

Learning at the Centre offers an adaptable approach to encourage Baptist Churches as they seek to ensure they are Growing Healthy Disciples. Through different learning experiences, Christians are equipped to be whole life disciples in their church and the communities where they live and work. 

Learning at the Centre is suitable for:

bulletindividuals wanting to engage in learning
bulletpeople exploring a particular area of interest
bulletthose seeking some kind of accreditation
bulletchurch groups exploring a theme
bulletpeople wanting to share in learning with others

Learning at the Centre has developed a three year programme which enables access to all twelve modules of the recognised training agreed by the Baptist Union in consultation with the Baptist Colleges and Baptist Associations within the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Learning at the Centre Programme

Each module involves two Saturdays at the BMS International Mission Centre in Selly Oak, Birmingham. (9.30am to 4.00pm) There is a fee of £50 for each module which includes: IMC facilities, tutoring costs, course materials and drinks.

Please use the Learning at the Centre registration form indicating the module you are planning to attend and send it either by post or electronically to the HEBA office. You can download a registration form here

It is preferable to have the payment at the time of registration, however should the fee present a difficulty please write/email the HEBA office as there may be some financial help available. 

Church groups may qualify for a reduced rate depending on the number attending a module. 

Anyone wishing to engage in the complete programme as part of a recognised accreditation plan within the Association should speak to a Regional Minister or contact: Lesley Hubball
