Robert's Testimony

After my conversion (at a Teacher's Training College) I spent my formative "Christian" years at an FIEC church in South London.

I have served on a church diaconate as Fabric Steward, Mission Team Leader, Alpha Co-ordinator and Church Secretary

Robert's Qualifications

Regular preaching in a variety of Baptist churches since 2001 following four years of regular preaching within my own church during an interregnum.

Certificate of Higher Education in Theology from the Open Theological College, University of Gloucestershire.) 

Robert's Preaching Emphasis

Although by nature I am a traditional preacher, I am comfortable with, and regularly use, modern worship and preaching styles. I try and let the passage of Scripture determine the most pertinent style(s) for conveying the contemporary message. I have led several all-age worship services at my previous church.

I believe all parts of the Service contribute to our worship of, and communion with, the Lord; even the traditional "hymn sandwich" can provide dynamic worship if prayerfully prepared, constructed and approached. I, therefore, believe in the preacher having input into / being consulted regarding, all aspects of a service and would be delighted to work with a church's worship leader(s) in service preparation.
